    Conservation

Uittreksel

"Since the founding of our company, we have been engaged in the display of Japanese paintings as scroll mounters. Since the end of WWII, we mainly used our abilities to be proactive in the conservation of paintings and important writings of cultural heritage. Using a foundation of traditional techniques and aesthetic awareness, it is necessary at times to introduce contemporary techniques during the conservation of cultural heritage. Our philosophy is to conduct safe and reliable conservation treatment; so that mankind’s cultural treasures can be steadily handed to the next generation. In addition, we aim to bring the world of conservation to an even higher level by producing as many excellent conservators as possible while devoting ourselves to daily work. Currently, our level of skill from the viewpoint of safe conservation treatment has been recognized not only in Japan but also globally. We hope to fulfill our contribution to society through the repair of cultural properties, employing a high aesthetic sense, and skills cultivated in tradition and inherited from generations past."-- From publisher's website.
