Uittreksel
The work of the internationally acclaimed artist Asger Jorn (1914-1973) has been exhibited throughout the world. Jorn was one of the originators of the international artists' association Cobra, which rebelled against conventional art and fought for a free expression of creativity. He was central to the European development of abstract painting and politically active throughout his life. This lavishly illustrated volume addresses the contradictions in Jorn's oeuvre as part of a deliberate artistic strategy; it presents the heterogeneity of his artistic project.
