It contains many photographs of artifacts related to the museum and to the Holocaust, excerpts from the writings of Anne Frank, who with her family and four other people, had hidden from the Nazis in the house's secret annex from 1942-1944, an account of her life story, and five essays that provide historical background to the full breadth of the Holocaust and the meaning of its history today.
