Utagawa Sadamasu: distinguished Osaka print artist

Abstract

A complete overview of the artist's print work, including biographical notes, a list of pupils from his school, prints by Sadamasu II, a bibliography, and glossary. Later known as Kunimasu, Sadamasu worked under several other names and marks. He was associated with the Osaka chūban style, as a woodblock-print artist, and as a master at ukiyo-e bust portraits.
