Abstract
"Once a photojournalist, Ho Ching-tai uses his images to record instances of political persecution, including repression and neglect, as well as the sadness pervading the lower rungs of society. The high degree of tensions in his photographs expresses intense social criticism and awareness. Ho's photographer's book features three famed photograph series and the recent series The Hundred-Year Covenant Between Man and God, and explores the relationship between Ho's photography and Taiwan's social development, providing readers a greater diversity of perspectives"-- Foreword from the director of NTMoFA (page 7).
