Abstract

"This catalogue, published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, looks at the life and work of Toronto-based artist Stephen Andrews, highlighting his paintings, drawings and videos of the last decade. Stephen Andrews has exhibited his work in Canada, the US, Brazil, Scotland, France and Japan. He is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, Art Gallery of Ontario, Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, Vancouver, and the Schwartz Collection, Boston, as well as numerous other public and private collections. His work explores memory, identity, technology and their representations in various media including drawing, animation and recently painting and ceramics."--
