Kiki Smith: prints
By
Abstract
The catalogue is dedicated to Kiki Smith's complex oeuvre of printed work, from its beginnings in 1985 to today. Over 150 works, from the New York based artist's comprehensive bestowal of more than 800 pieces to the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung in Munich, were selected for the catalogue. The texts deal with the same themes the artist has dealt with in her work for more than 40 years and which are especially important to her: the body, life, and death, and last but not least, fairy tales.
