Abstract

"The NTMoFA implemented a two-pronged strategy for its collection in 2020. In addition to systematically collecting classic works in different periods of Taiwan, we try to broaden the horizons of Taiwanese art history by expanding our scope of collection to works created during the Ming and Qing dynasties as well as the Japanese colonial period, insofar as to perfect our construction of Taiwanese art history in terms of zeitgeist and aesthetics."--Page 6, preface.
