Abstract

Until the opening of the Humboldt Forum, some eighty masterpieces of African sculpture will set foot on Museum Island to engage European works of Art in dialogue. Experimental juxtapositions and groupings of works according to themes such as the others, aesthetics, gender, protection, performance, and death reveal the connections and differences among these works of art. Presenting these sculptures, with their different histories, together reveals new perspectives on both collections.------ Exhibition: Bode-Museum, Berlin (27.10.2017 - until further notice).
