According to Gerard Wessel the iT disco, within walking distance of his house, was the ultimate place to be in the 1990s. ‘Under the leadership of Manfred Langer, the uncrowned king of after-hours Amsterdam, extravagant parties were organised where members of the gay scene were treated to transvestites, male strippers and flamboyant acts.’
