translation of inscription: Golden Freedom / Just as we see the life-like horse. Stippled by Wolf free-floating on the glass; thus carefree and free of pain, golden freedom must live with us!

  • Description

    Conische voet. Balustervormige stam met een krans luchtbellen. Trechtervormige, aan de onderzijde afgeronde kelk. Op de kelk een galopperend paard. Boven voorstelling een banderolle met het motto AUREA LIBERTAS (de gulden vrijheid). Op de keerzijde, in diamantgravure, het volgende gedicht: GELYK WY 'T ROS, IN LEVENS SCHYN DOOR WOLF GESTIPT, OP 'T GLAS ZIEN ZWEEVEN; MOET ZONDER ZORGE EN VRY VAN PYN, DE GULDE VRYHEID BY ONS LEEVEN!.
