Water kettle on burner

Martinus Logerath, 1772

A kettle of this kind was used for water, kept hot by the flame from the burner. The water was used to dilute strong tea, made in small teapots. The decoration of this kettle is in the neo-classical style.

    Bouilloire met komfoor van zilver. Het bolvormige vat met korte, gebogen tuit is versierd met geappliqueerde bladguirlandes. Het komfoor is driehoekig en versierd met ramskoppen en guirlandes.
