Christus verdrijft met een zweep de handelaren en geldwisselaars uit de tempel. Links vluchten drie mannen weg. Op de voorgrond liggen twee mannen bij hun omgevallen tafels, geld en koopwaar op de grond. Onder de voorstelling een verwijzing in het Latijn naar de Bijbeltekst in Mat. 21:12.
