This teapot stands out for its smooth polished surface and gold rims. Yixing teapots are popular in Southeast Asia, which has a tea culture akin to that of China. Teapots of this type were made in Yixing and then fitted with decorations in Thailand to suit that country’s tastes.

    Theepot van rood steengoed met een rechte tuit, C-vormig oor en vergulde randen, dekselknop en uiteinde van de tuit. De wanden van de pot zijn gepolijst. Gemerkt op de onderzijde en onder het oor met ongeïdentificeerde merken. Dit type pot werd speciaal voor het Thaise hof geproduceerd. Yixing.
