Entry

Sample of an 6.5-inch armour plate.

Two sides are sawn and polished, two are rough as though broken or torn. The two remaining, opposing sides are the faces of the armour plate, with a thickness of 6.5 inches.

According to the inventory list, number 1221 originally contained three samples of armour plate, 6.5 and 8 inches thick.1J.M. Obreen et al., handwritten inventory list for items 944 to 1431, 1884, manuscript in HNA 476 RMA, inv. no. 1089, no. 1221. The other two samples were not found.
