Dick Bruna (signed by artist), 1984
This silkscreen was printed by Piet Clement of The Printshop, the leading printer of Dutch graphic art between 1958 and 2003. It shows the episode following the rescue. The red plane is the hull of the rescue party’s boat. Bruna tells an entire story with just four near abstract horizontal and vertical elements.
