A man studies the various shipping routes between Java, China, and Japan on a map. From the end of the 19th century Japan pursued growing international trade relations. This is a poster for the Java-China-Japan Line, founded in 1902, aimed at the rising number of travellers between the Dutch East Indies, China, Korea, and Japan.
