Parasol with appliqués

monsieur Cazal, c. 1900 - c. 1910

In 1839, M. Cazal invented a mechanism using a spring inside the stick to automatically open a parasol. The same mechanism is still in use today. With two patents and various medals to his name, Cazal’s shop and his company were built on solid foundations and maintained their excellent reputation until into the 20th century.
