Design for Two Pendants

René Lalique, c. 1900 - c. 1904

In this drawing the artist imagines two pendants. The hydrangeas, enamelled blue, have golden leaves with an enamelled and engraved decoration. They are combined with pale blue stones. Lalique found his principal inspiration in directly observed nature.
