Sample of telegraph cable, probably for mines.

A short piece of shroud-laid steel cable wire of ten strands around an insulated copper wire. The insulating coating consists of an unknown synthetic material (probably gutta percha) and paper.

This sample was found without inventory number and identified by a process of elimination.
