Journal des Dames et des Modes Complete with Cases

Tommaso Antongini, 1912 - 1914

The Journal des Dames et des Modes sought to distinguish itself from cheap journals, produced for mass circulation. Its editors drew inspiration from the craftsmanship of the earlier Journal des Dames (1797-1839) and adopted not only its title, but also its format and layout. The magazine’s print run was limited to 1,279 copies. Its quality and content were rewarded with a gold medal during the 1913 World’s Fair in Ghent.
