anonymous, c. 1600 - c. 1699

The red vine encircling the entire body of the vase lends it a graceful, unaffected beauty. Imperfections such as the irregular shape and cracks in the glaze at the foot reveal that this vase was made quickly, without the technical perfection reserved for objects for the imperial court.

Eivormige pot van steengoed, gedeeltelijk bedekt met een wit slib en beschilderd in onderglazuur rood. De bovenzijde van de pot is bedekt met een wit slib. Vanuit de schouder naar de buik tweemaal een druivenrank. Oud label op de onderzijde met 'Korea, 17e/ Saml. Breuer, kat 36'.
