Andiron with cooking pots and a pair of fire tongs

Centrally located in the ‘Safe House’ was a fireplace with a chimney above it. The food was cooked there and the men could warm themselves by the open hearth. When the ‘Safe House’ was rediscovered at the end of the 19th century, the andiron and the cooking pots were still in place.

    Kookketel van koper, cylindervormig met vlakke bodem, een ijzeren hengsel, koperen plaatwerk en koperen nagels. De ketel bestaat uit twee platen koper, een bodem en een bovenrand en heeft opstaande oren voor het hengsel. De kookketel werd aan een haak boven het vuur gehangen. Door Carlsen gevonden op kooktoestel NG-NM-7651. Het hengsel is aan één kant afgebroken. De staat is redelijk.
