Andiron with cooking pots and a pair of fire tongs

Centrally located in the ‘Safe House’ was a fireplace with a chimney above it. The food was cooked there and the men could warm themselves by the open hearth. When the ‘Safe House’ was rediscovered at the end of the 19th century, the andiron and the cooking pots were still in place.

    Kookketel, cylindervormig met vlakke bodem, ijzeren hengsel, koperen plaatwerk en koperen nagels. De ketel bestaat uit twee platen koper (2/3 en 1/3 van omtrek ketel), een bodem en een bovenrand en heeft opstaande oren voor het hengsel. De kookketel werd aan een haak boven het vuur gehangen. De ketel werd door Carlsen gevonden op kooktoestel NM-7651. Gebroken hengsel waarvan 1/3 resteert, de zijkant van de ketel is ineengedrukt.
