Flower-shaped Dish

The white porcelain is covered with a transparent glaze of a vivid blue-green hue. Chinese experts called this colour ‘bluish-white’ (qingbai) or ‘shadow-blue’ (yingqing). These are descriptive terms for a group of white porcelain with a transparent blue-tinged glaze made in southern China.

    Schaal van steengoed gemodelleerd in de vorm van een bloem met zes bladeren, bedekt met een transparant glazuur met een lichtblauwe tint. Op het plat een medaillon met daarin ingegrifte bladranken. Bakzand op de onderzijde. Qingbai.
