The body of this bottle features the monogram of Governor-General Joan van Hoorn. The bottle was most likely used for wine or spirits. His daughter, Petronella van Hoorn, ensured that his collection of Japanese porcelain and lacquerware was not dispersed.

    Bolvormige fles van porselein met een smalle nek, beschilderd in onderglazuur blauw. Op de buik een lauwerkrans met daarin het opschrift of monogram 'I.V.H.'. Hieromheen bloemtakken (pioen, granaatappel). De schouder met een band gestileerde bladmotieven. Op de nek bloeiende planten. De voetring met een dubbele blauwe lijn. Blauw-wit.
