Covered bowl

anonymous, c. 1800 - c. 1899

This bowl is decorated in Bencharong (five-colour) style with a stylised leaf motif in enamel and gold. It was export ware, designed especially for the Thai market.

  • Description

    Klokvormige dekselkom van porselein, beschilderd op het glazuur in rood, groen, zwart en goud. De wand is bedekt met een geometrisch bladpatroon; op de rand een decoratieve band. De voetring is groen. De deksel met dezelfde decoratie. Exportgoed voor Thailand in de Bencharong-stijl (vijf kleuren). Porselein met emailkleuren.
