Cactus Pots with Oblong Saucer

Andries Dirk Copier, c. 1929

Pressing instead of blowing glass enabled cheaper and faster production. The well-matched interlocking shapes of these ‘building block flower pots’ facilitated the creation of tightly arranged rows. The pressing method proved unsuitable for long, narrow shapes. Therefore, only a limited number of test models for this elongated saucer are known.
