Seated astride an ass, the French King Louis XIV and deposed English King James II lead a bizarre procession into battle against the Protestants. Progress is slow as the donkey baulks, apparently unwilling to go on. Their troops ride snails, turtles and other sluggish creatures. The English confessor Father Petre is seated on a lobster, which was believed to always walk backwards.

    Spotprent op de gezamenlijke strijd van de Heilige Liga van Lodewijk XIV en Jacobus II, 1689. Lodewijk XIV (Harlekijn) en Jacobus II (Pamirge) gezeten onder één hoed op een ezel trekken ten strijde tegen de protestanten. Op de voorgrond pater Peters (Edward Petre) met het ondergeschoven kind op een kreeft, rechts de dauphin in een kist op de rug van een pad. Rechtsvoor is de bisschop van Straatsburg van zijn schildpad gevallen. Hun dwaze strijd wordt gepresenteerd als een jezuïetische kruistocht. Rechts op de achtergrond ligt het schip Reynuyt (Rijn uit) klaar voor vertrek. Onder de voorstelling 2 verzen in 4 kolommen met een toelichting op de nummers 1-12 in het Nederlands.
