Explanatory note

  • Deze incomplete serie, bestaande uit 77 van de in totaal 85 prenten met scènes uit Ovidius' Metamorfosen, werd in 1709 samen met Ovidius-illustraties van Tempesta, Goltzius en Le Pautre in één album, Schijnvoet nummer 43, ingebonden. In de negentiende eeuw werd deze band weer uit elkaar gehaald.
