Album with Photographs of the Acquisition Trip in Asia

Herman Karel Westendorp, 1930 - 1931

The Westendorp-Osieck couple went to Japan to purchase art and seized the opportunity to tour the country as well. These album pages feature photographs of a waterfall near Nikko. This site is famous for the lavishly decorated mausoleums of the Tokugawa shoguns, which can be visited. Photographs of these structures are also found in this album.
