"The Design Drawing Damage Atlas is an initiative of the Nieuwe Instituut in collaboration with Metamorfoze. This damage atlas is the last in a series of three; previously the Archives Damage Atlas and Libraries Damage Atlas were published. Nieuwe Instituut is the national museum for architecture, design and digital culture and manages the National Collection of Dutch Architecture and Urban Design. This is one of the largest architectural collections in the world, with some four million drawings, models, photographs, letters, and several large digitally born archives. [...] Metamorfoze is the KB's national program for the preservation of and sustainable access to the paper heritage of the Netherlands. As part of the program, the KB provides financing for the conservation and digitization of archives and paper collections that are of national importance and that are threatened by autonomous and other material decay."-- Front matter.
