Abstract

"Founded in 1971 as an artists' and cultural producers' initiative, the Video-Forum, with over 1400 international works, is the oldest collection of video art in Germany. Focal points of the collection are Fluxus, feminist video, historical and contemporary video art from Berlin as well as media-reflective approaches. Key works from the early period of video art are equally well represented as current productions. This book documents the complete contents of the collection and includes illustrations, forming a comprehensive compendium of international video art for artists, curators and teachers."--N.b.k. website.
