Abstract

In 2019, Reinier Gerritsen was commissioned to photograph the restauration of the Nightwatch. The assignment included photographing the public looking at the painting. In catalogues of Rembrandt's work, he found similarities between the Nightwacht audience and the master's work. He cut the catalogues to size, and in every catalogue the stuck 10 of his own photos.
