Savery: een kunstenaarsfamilie uit Kortrijk
Alternate title
Kunstenaarsfamilie uit Kortrijk
Abstract
Roelandt and Jacob, who became the two most famous artists from the Savery family, only shortly lived in Kortrijk (Belgium) during their childhood. Nevertheless, the Broelmuseum has one of the richest collections of works by Roelandt Savery in the world. This edited volume may be viewed as an addition of the catalogue of the exhibition 'Roelandt Savery' (1576-1639) held in 2011 in Prague and Kortrijk. This book highlights the family history of the Kortrijk artists. It also covers musicians and composers during Roelandt Savery's lifetime and shows, highlights Roelandt Savery's prints and engravings, and looks back on the exhibition of Roelandt Savery in the Broelmuseum in Kortrijk.
