Abstract

The Pinakothek der Moderne is a centre of international standing for 20th and 21st century art, architecture and design. It is one of the largest new museums in the world. Four collections come together in Stephan Braunfels's new building to create a "musee total" of Modernism, sweeping away the boundaries between the genres.
