Abstract
An autobiographical testimony as told by Héctor García (b. México 1923), one of the most influential photojournalists in Mexico during the first half of the 20th century, illustrated with a large number of full-page black and white plates of famous personages like Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Pedro Infante, Maria Felix, along unique images of important events. Author Rivera who dedicated close to 5 years defines this editorial project as "Thanks to this extraordinary photographer and thorough chronicler, the reader has the great opportunity to be taken into those passages of the cultural, political and daily life of our country, impregnated of glory and beauty, as well as sometimes of sadness and frustration."--P.21.
