Oil paintings in public ownership in London, North & East

Abstract

This volume brings together over 2,700 oil paintings from 45 collections across the North and East of London including those in the boroughs of Enfield, Hackney, Islington and Redbridge. Major collections such as those at the Royal Air Force Museum, The Geffrye, Museum of the Home, the Estorick Collection, the William Morris Gallery and the Museum of the Order of St John are featured alongside smaller collections including The British Postal Museum & Archive, The Royal London Hospital Museum & Archives, the Royal Armouries at the Tower of London and John Wesley's House & The Museum of Methodism.--http://www.thepcf.org.uk.
