Abstract
"The intertwining of technology with cultural and societal development underscores a profound relationship. The construction of digital content has long been foregrounded by the Ministry of Culture (MOC), aiming to enrich people's digital lives with cultural content and support creative talents to leverage technology for innovative creations. MOC and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) have long supported interdisciplinary tech art. In recent years, under the promotion of the 5G Cultural Technology Talent Cultivation and Interdisciplinary Application Program, the emphasis has been laid on integrating 5G communication technology to develop innovative artistic and cultural content. Moreover, there is a strong focus on nurturing interdisciplinary talents and facilitating collaborations among industry, academia, and government to foster cross-field dialogue. Since 2020, NTMoFA has been hosting the Taiwan International Light Festival, which just reached its fifth edition this year. Beyond maturing in scale and format to become a pivotal annual event in the Taichung region, the light festival has actively expanded its outreach through the museum, creating a visual feast that combines art and technology. Such convergence has gathered abundant artistic energy and enriched sensory experiences, providing an avenue for people to gain a deeper appreciation of Taiwan's achievements in tech art"-- Foreword (page 8).
