Modefotografie: eine fotografische Praxis zwischen Konvention und Variation
By
Abstract
"Fashion photography is expected to consistently find new ways to visualise and mediate ideas of fashion or a fashionable lifestyle, and is constantly presented with the challenge of expanding its repertoire of styles and motifs. Sylvia Brodersen discusses processes of change in early fashion photography, particularly in the 1990s, with regard to the context and function of photographic practice. In the process, aspects of production come into focus as well as questions of reading and generating meaning. The study explores still relatively-untouched terrain and in doing so contributes to a history of the genre"--Publisher's website.
