Margherita Caffi e l'atelier dei Vicenzini
Abstract
"An in-depth study of the Vicenzini dynasty of artists. Volume one explores over 70 of Vicenzo Voló's still lives and animal paintings; introduces the family's atelier with a discussion on the works of Francesca and Giovanna; and ends with an overview of Margherita Caffi's oeuvre, presenting over 150 works produced in Cremona, Piacenza, Bologna and Milan. The second volume focuses on Francesca, Giovanna and Giuseppe Vicenzino, considering the activity of other family members. The appendices provide a genealogy of the dynasties of Pierre Voulot, Dionigi Masoli, Vicenzino Volo, Carlo Caffi, Ludovico Caffi, Federico Macagni, Nicolaus Miller and Giuseppe Volo, a bibliography and a chronology. Inventories of paintings by Caffi, Voló and Federico Macagni are also transcribed."-- Provided by publisher.
