Abstract

"In Marc Bijl's catalogue for a fictional survey exhibition in the year 2084, time comes to us from the future. The exhibition is conceived in part as survey of his artworks of the last 20 years and in part as fictional projection of future works. The format also allows the artist to bring earlier and current work together, retracing his various artistic paths and decisions, documenting shifts in his subject matter, preoccupation, and approaches to certain problems in the course of time." -- Page 8.
