Kennerschap Bredius: geen Cuyp, wel Calraet

Abstract

Dit is de eerste tentoonstelling ooit die specifiek aan het werk van Abraham Calraet (1642-1722) gewijd is. Voor het Museum Bredius is dit ook een gelegenheid om te herinneren aan de stichter, Abraham Bredius. Bredius was niet alleen een connaisseur van de kunst, maar ook een kunsthistoricus, die ontdekte wie achter de initialen 'AC' schuilging. Bijgedragen aan de tentoonstellingscatalogus hebben Paul Schnabel, Kees C.J. Stal, Josefine Leistra, Charles Dumas, Fred G. Meijer en Sander Paarlberg.
