Jan Dibbets 1966-1976: toward another photography
Abstract
"Jan Dibbets (b. 1941, Weert, Netherlands) is a leading Dutch visual artist known for his exploration of perception and space. His work is characterized by the use of photography to distort reality through “perspective corrections.” After studying in Tilburg and London—where he encountered representatives of Land Art—he abandoned painting and achieved his international breakthrough with conceptual photography and his “Plough Projects.” His works are represented in major museums worldwide."
