Abstract

In the summer of 1990, Carl De Keyzer bought a camper and traveled through America with one goal: to photograph religious groups. 'God Inc' became a unique (time) document that illustrated how much God is part of the American way of life. Thirty years later, the Magnum Photographer draws again to the American Bible Belt and many other states, but with a renewed focus: how religious groups embrace modern life and the latest technologies in their search for new souls. 'God Inc I & II' bundles both photo series into one reversible book with two covers. In addition, De Keyzer supplemented the first part with never-published photos.
