Abstract

"If there is one thing Marianne absolutely did not want, then it was a book about her and my work. Since I think a little differently about such matters and felt it necessary to commemorate her, this publication was produced nevertheless." 'Fuck design, let's dance' presents the oeuvre of designers Marianne Vos and André Toet. It offers an overview of their individual work as well as assignments they did together and designs they made with the design agency 'Samenwerking Ontwerpers Design' (SO Design) that they jointly founded. From typography to album covers and from magazines to the complete design of exhibitions and buildings. Both the nature of the assignments and the clients formed a colorful collection. For both Marianne and André, freedom and a sense of profoundness were the common thread in their work. The wish for the designs to be a reflection of themselves always predominated.
