Abstract

Photobook that addresses the theme of Chinese diaspora and is narrated by Frankin Lung, a fictitious character, who is born into a lowly family from Hong Kong and falls in love with the daughter of a general from the Kuomintang party. The work explores the following themes: war, exile and acculturation against the backdrop of the fall of the Qing Dynasty.
