Alternate title

- Future of the library catalog
Abstract
Without exploring the library catalogue, a user will not know which books are to be found in the library, or where they can be found. But in the last 25 years, the nature of the library catalogue has changed immensely, and cataloguing-- the essential skill of bibliographic description-- is undergoing a steady evolution. This collection of essays provides an overview of the current state, and then looks to the future to see what the library catalogue might become.
