Ben Storms: sculpturality, materiality, functionality
Abstract
Ben Storms is one of Belgium's most promising contemporary designers. Since 2013, he has been working on an international oeuvre in collectible design, at the intersection between applied design and the autonomous visual arts. He has created furniture for Delvaux, Alexander Wang and Cartier, and his work is included in the permanent collections of the Design Museum Gent and CID Grand Hornu, among others. Storms stands out above all for his idiosyncratic handling of materiality.
