Auguste Rodin: La porte de l'enfer

Abstract

La Porte de l'Enfer is a central work in the career of the greatest sculptor of the 19th century. The result of an intense phase of work which lasted almost ten years, it gave Rodin the opportunity to create some of his most famous works, such as The Thinker and The Kiss, as well as many other groups and figures which constituted material reinvented throughout the decades that followed.
